Bill Maher Looks At Sarah Palin & Pope Francis' Heated Twitter War
Posted: 11/18/2013 3:34 pm EST
Sarah Palin made headlines last week after an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, where she said that some of Pope Francis' statements sounded "kind of liberal." Palin has since apologized, explaining that her point was about not trusting the media.
Ok, sure, why not?
But if you get your news from Bill Maher, then you know that the
story was much more incendiary than a poorly worded comment followed by
an apology. In the world of "Real Time," Palin's gaffe led to a heated
twitter war between the Pontiff and the former Governor/VP candidate.
Watch Maher's fanciful take on the war of characters that didn't actually ensue ensued above.
When it comes to pointing out just how conservatives and the
Republican Party are, and have been, wrong on just about every major
issue of contention in recent history, nobody does it quite like Bill
Maher.
On this week’s edition of HBO’s Real Time, Maher presented a powerful
segment join the connection between conservative Supreme Court justices
and the influx of corruption in our political system.
While describing this connection, he beautifully summarized the
“problem with today’s conservatives”. I would say more, but I probably
shouldn’t spoil it for you. Let’s just say that it is a very important
message that every American needs to understand. Please watch the video below and share this and other related
articles on social media forums so that everyone will draw the
connection between voting Republican and our corrupted political system.
Matt Welch, Tea Party “darling”, libertarian pundit, and
editor-in-chief of Reason Magazine, was left squirming, laughing
nervously, and reaching for his coffee cup when Bill Maher interrupted
one of his lie-filled anti-Obamacare diatribes with a piercing question.
While attempting to make the point that Obamacare is a
“one-size-fits-all” way that won’t solve the problem of providing access
to affordable healthcare to the 14 million previously uninsured
Americans, Maher stepped in and asked a question that obliterated his
rehearsed lie and left him nervously admitting “that’s a good question.” Please watch the video of the exchange below and share this
article on social media forums so that everyone will see just how
baseless Republican anti-Obamacare arguments truly are.
