It’s not easy being Liz Cheney. She’s not only the least popular of the Republican candidates for Senate in Wyoming. She’s also doing her best to reinforce her image as the least likable of the Cheney sisters.

Former VP Dick Cheney was reportedly “delighted” when his younger daughter Mary married her partner Heather Poe in 2012. But Liz was not so happy.

“I am not pro-gay marriage,” she declared last Friday.

Today, she expanded on her thinking an exclusive interview with The Daily Edge.

“I’m sick and tired of this shit,” she told The Daily Edge. “It all began when Mary first came out of the closet. She told us that she wanted to be true to herself, to live life openly and honestly. Of course it fucking freaked me out. Not the gay stuff. Who gives a fuck about that. But she’s a Cheney! She’s not supposed to be honest! Are you fucking kidding me!?!?”

Father Dick’s acceptance of Mary’s lifestyle only angered elder daughter Liz even more. “As soon as she went gay, he told her she didn’t have to participate in family Game Night any more. That hurt a lot. We used to have so much fun playing ‘Pin the Intel on Colin Powell.’ And ‘Out the CIA Agent’ just wasn’t the same without her. I don’t think we even played ‘Stonewalling the 9/11 Commission’ a single time after she stopped taking part.”

Now, in a sad attempt to advance her political career, Liz is willing to demean her sister publicly, stating that she has no right to find happiness in a marriage with the person she loves.

“Marriage isn’t how a Cheney is supposed to find happiness,” Liz told us. “For a Cheney, happiness is being a personal friend of David Gregory and going on Meet the Press whenever you want to tell lies about Obama.”

“When I become President,” she concluded, “I will save marriage by forcing all these loving gay and lesbian families to get divorced.”

We haven’t heard much from former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld lately. Mainly because he’s the guy who spent $6T on the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, sending our troops into battle without body armor only to then tell us that not only was Saddam Hussein not involved in 9/11, he didn’t have WMDs, either.

Oops.

As Obama considers military action in Syria, you might think a totally dickish douchebag like Rumsfeld would keep his mouth shut and support the Commander-in-Chief the way he told us we were supposed to support our President when Bush was pretending to accomplish missions.

After all, Obama is the President who actually got Bin Laden and concluded the Iraq War.

But hey, it’s Obama. Since when have the crazy old coots of the GOP given him a shred of respect?

BOB MCDONNELL LAUNCHES KICKSTARTER TO COVER LEGAL EXPENSES

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell today launched a $250,000 Kickstarter campaign in an effort to “get out ahead of any legal expenses, plus maybe stash a few thou in the ‘go-bag’ I keep in my hall closet.”

McDonnell is seeking to raise funds so he can “defend himself vigorously” against charges that he and his wife received an obscene amount of cash and gifts from Richmond-area businessman Jonnie R. Williams Sr., CEO of dietary supplement maker Star Scientific, in exchange for using his influence as Governor to boost the fortunes of the company.

“To call these lavish gifts ‘bribes’ is to demean the beautiful friendship my family and I enjoyed with Mr Williams,” said the Governor. “Although it’s also true that we don’t speak to him anymore since the gifts dried up.”

Among the rewards being offered by McDonnell to his Kickstarter donors:

Pledge $10,000 or more: Receive a man’s Rolex watch, engraved with the words “Who’s Your Daddy? Love, JRW, Sr.” (limit one)

Pledge $5,000 or more: Receive a lightly worn Oscar de la Renta suede jacket direct from the closest of Virginia’s First Lady (limit one)

Pledge $2,500 or more: Receive an “as-new” Luis Vuitton leather handbag (may need some restitching due to a minor altercation with investigators) (limit one)

At the lower end of the scale, McDonnell has set aside rewards for even the smallest donors, for example:

Pledge $25 or more: Receive a novelty “Re-Elect Senator Clay Davis to the Maryland State Senate” T-shirt (limit one).

“Did you ever watch The Wire?” McDonnell added wistfully. “Sheeeeeeeee-it, that guy was good. At one time I even thought I was as smooth as him.”

Conservatives are the secret majority, even in Hollywood. Hollywood conservatives must stopliving in fear: it is time to expose the plots and conspiracies of the evil liberal machine.

It’s no secret that the entertainment industry and Hollywood in particular have no patience for conservative voices among their ranks. There are a few who are courageous enough to stand up for what makes America great. They are some of the most respected entertainers in modern history. Clint Eastwood, James Caan, Gary Busey, the list goes on and on.

However, there are probably quite a few other actors and musicians that have conservative beliefs but do not have the gumption to “come out of the closet” and show their true (red, white, and blue) colors out of fear for their career.

Recent events have shown that his fear is completely justified, and that MTV will stop at nothing to embarrass good, hard-working, God-fearing conservatives!

Consider music legend Billy Ray Cyrus, who claims to have voted for President Obama but has also performed at Sean Hannity’s freedom concerts, so it would achy breaky my heart if he weren’t a Republican.

Another suspected celebrity-Republican-in-hiding is former Pictionary host and all-around dreamboat (no homo) Alan Thicke. While he has publicly blended in with the usual bland Hollywood liberals, he did play Kirk Cameron’s father on Growing Pains. Cameron would have had to learn his virtues from somebody, so I think it’s safe to wager that Alan Thicke had something to do with Cameron growing up to become a stellar God-fearing American patriot.

Obviously, since the Hollywood machine hates conservatives so much, their number 1 priority is to embarrass good (suspected) conservatives like Billy Ray Cyrus and Alan Thicke!

It comes as no surprise, then, that MTV, which has been propagating the liberal agenda to America’s youth since 1981, would dupe the American people into watching a vile and disgusting performance by the children of these two legends: Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

Miley, a wholesome country girl whose catchphrase “Sweet niblets!” delighted millions of red staters on Hannah Montana, shocked the country when she manipulated herself with a foam finger and “twerked” around the stage like an epileptic.

Thicke then came out on stage and performed a duet with Cyrus to his hit song, Blurred Lines, a song that all girls can learn valuable lessons from about the importance of caving to the will of men.

Granted, the message of this song was the saving grace of the performance… but otherwise, the pair of them subverted the expectations of their wholesome Christian audience, who had no idea that these young musicians were capable of committing such atrocities.

HOW DID THE DEMONIC SPECTACLE HAPPEN?

MTV clearly manipulated Cyrus and Thicke to perform this vile spectacle against their will in order to shame Billy Ray Cyrus and Alan Thicke, two men we in the Republican party are proud to call our own… even if they can’t reciprocate out of fear of persecution.

But even that wasn’t enough for the liberal agenda… they had to use their weapons in the media to bring shame to the families of those who do not wish to participate in their plans to destroy America. It is a conspiracy within a conspiracy.

Welcome to Obama’s America.

Remember how the House Republicans cheered when John Boehner broke off sequester negotiations on February 28?

They cheered even though the sequester would cut ANOTHER $75 million from the Embassy Security budget at a time when they were trying to politicize Benghazi in ways that would distract from how previous GOP security cuts might have contributed to the disaster?

They cheered even though sequestration would cost 800,000 jobs, slow the economic recovery, and have a devastating effect on millions of seniors, poor kids and working families.

They cheered even though the sequester would put new strains on the US Forest Service’s already-diminished firefighting capabilities.

Today comes news that a devastating wildfire in California has crossed into Yosemite National Park and created a state of emergency in San Francisco, just 150 miles away from the 196-square mile blaze, and which relies on Yosemite for water and hydroelectric power.

Cuts to the Forest Service budget mean that the Forest Service has to call in expensive “exclusive use” contractors in times of emergency.

San Francisco’s state of emergency means federal funds will be made available to deal with the crisis.

Eric Cantor likes to say “government is the problem.” It certainly is.

We have a government being sabotaged by a Republican Party whose leaders have all signed a pledge to the Kochs to do nothing about climate change (even as the intensity of droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes and wildfires is increasing).

We have a Republican Party that cheers idiotic spending cuts in place of country-first compromise.

We have a Republican Party that promotes “fiscal conservatism” in ways that put American lives and homes and jobs at risk–and contributes to crises that cost taxpayers millions and billions of dollars to clean up.

Yes, Eric Cantor. Government is the problem. And you are it.

You’ve all heard the expression “freedom isn’t free”. What you might not understand is the real meaning of the phrase:freedom costs money. There is no time in history when this has been more clear than today.

Example #1: If you are a good conservative, you know that “freedom” means your freedom to not live in a world where gay people whom you don’t know and have never met are absolutely not allowed to get married, because that would destroy your marriage in some way.

How much does this freedom cost? $1.5 million, so far… and sadly, you still don’t have the freedom to live in a country without gay marriage. But don’t worry, I’m sure John Boehner and the Republicans will keep spending money to protect your freedom to make sure gay people don’t marry.

Example #2: If you are a good conservative, you know that “freedom” means your freedom to make sure that voting is more difficult for people you don’t like. Students who live most of their lives away from their home residences, and poor people who can’t afford fees and transportation costs to acquire ID, probably don’t agree with anything you believe, so you should be free from the worry that they will be allowed to vote.

How much does this freedom cost? $3.5 million, so far, and that’s just in one state. Other states also have lawsuitsin the works, which will also cost more money. But they are protecting your right to stop people you don’t like from voting. That’s freedom.

Example #3: If you are a good conservative, you know that “freedom” means you freedom to not have any coal mines, fertilizer plants, factories, or other businesses regulated in any way. And even if the saw says that they “must” be regulated, conservatives know that these laws shouldn’t really be enforced.  That might cause paperwork and other nasty stuff. Clearly, regulation is anti-freedom.

How much does this freedom cost? When a fertilizer plan explodes because it didn’t heed national safety regulations, it kills 14 people, injures 75, and destroys the entire factory and surrounding buildings. It’s hard to say exactly how much the dollar value amounts to….

…..but if you’re a good conservative, you know it’s a small price to pay for freedom.
