"The Daily Show" had some fun with Gretchen Carlson on Twitter, but the joke left the Fox News host a little confused on the air Wednesday.
Carlson asked her Twitter followers on Tuesday to name the "cozy chair area" on the set of her new afternoon program, "The Real Story," prompting the "Daily Show" crew to have some fun:
As she read viewer feedback at the end of her program on Wednesday, Carlson seemed a bit thrown by the snark sent her way from Jon Stewart and company.
"Well, I think he said he should call it purgatory," Carlson said. "I wonder if we'll add that to the mix I think."
