While many in America were busy wrapping or unwrapping presents last night,  tragedy struck a family in Pennsylvania. A family member decided to handle a gun with a baby in the room. The 2-month-old baby girl died on Christmas Eve in what is described as another ‘accidental’ shooting.
A county coroner in central Pennsylvania said the infant is dead after the Christmas Eve shooting.

Police in East Lampeter Township say the family is cooperating with authorities and they don’t expect to file charges at this point. District Attorney Craig Stedman is calling the case a sad set of circumstances. Stedman is not sure if anyone will be charged.
The baby was born in October and did not live to seen her first Christmas.
Lancaster County coroner Dr. Stephen Diamontoni declined to provide additional details because police are still investigating the shooting, but an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.
Police were called to the apartment complex around 2:00 p.m.
The infant had been resuscitated on its way to Lancaster General Hospital but was later declared dead, according to CBS Philly.
Rest in peace, Little One.
